Self-Care 101: 3 Beautifying Fruit Infused Water Recipes For Gorgeous, Clear Skin

1. Cucumber Lemon Ginger Water

Ditch the coffee and start your morning with this refreshing, hydrating, energizing fruit infused water. The invigorating lemon and ginger stimulates your metabolism and indeed helps you burn more calories throughout the day. Throw in a few slices of cucumber for anti-inflammatory properties, extra potassium that your body needs for energy, and immediate rehydration!

You will need: 

  • 1 thinly sliced lemon
  • 1/2 cucumber thinly sliced
  • 2 inch of ginger root-peeled
  • 8 cups of water

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a glass or mason jar. Place in refrigerator for a few hours for a strong infusion. Lasts 1-2 days.

 

2. Strawberry Basil Detox Water

The mix of strawberry, orange, and basil is one of the most delicious combinations out there! And let's not forget the benefits are unlimited! Strawberries contain alpha-hydroxy acid which is an important substance that eliminates dead skin cells and cleans the skin during the process. Strawberries also encourages hair growth, decreases excessive shedding, and reduces split ends. The oranges are great to fight against acne breakouts and nourishes your skin because they are rich in Vitamin C. Does your skin produce excessive oils or very little? That is where the basil comes into play and regulates oil production and a great anti inflammatory! So if you have acne prone skin, this drink is perfect for you.

You will need:

  • 2 cup of strawberries
  • 1 cup of navel orange sliced
  • Handful of basil leaves
  • 8 cups of water

Directions:

Add fruits and herbs together in a glass or mason jar. Let it chill and infuse in the refrigerator for a few hours. Lasts 1-2 days

3. Blackberry Mint Infused Water

This blend is ideal for the warm weather coming our way. Combine all ingredients in a glass or mason jar. Place if refrigerator for a few hours for a strong infusion. Lasts 1-2 days
